Itinerary Day Wise
Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore – Transfer to Mysore

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at the Bangalore Airport or Railway Station by our representative. From here, embark on a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Mysore, known as the “City of Palaces” and famed for its majestic temples, royal heritage, and architectural grandeur. Upon reaching Mysore, check in to Hotel Sandesh The Prince and relax after your journey. You are free to spend the evening at leisure—explore nearby markets, local eateries, or simply rest in your room. This day is all about settling in and preparing for the days of adventure ahead. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 2: Mysore to Coorg – The Scotland of India

After breakfast at your Mysore hotel, check out and proceed to Coorg, also called the “Scotland of India,” known for its lush coffee plantations, cool climate, and serene hills. The drive takes around 3 hours. Upon arrival, check in to the Coorg Marriott Resort & Spa, where you’ll be staying in a luxurious 1-bedroom villa with a beautiful view. Spend the rest of the day unwinding at the resort or exploring the tranquil surroundings on your own. Enjoy the resort’s amenities and scenic charm. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 3: Wildlife Safari at Nagarhole & Visit to Iruppu Falls

Today is for nature and adventure lovers. Start early to reach Nagarhole National Park for a morning safari (booking must be done online at least 45 days in advance). Renowned for its tiger sightings, the park offers a chance to spot a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, deer, and various bird species. After the safari, head to Iruppu Falls, also known as Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, a scenic cascade set amidst lush greenery, perfect for a quiet nature escape. Return to the resort in the evening to relax and reflect on the day’s adventures. Overnight stay in Coorg.

Day 4: Coorg Sightseeing & Transfer to Ooty

Enjoy breakfast and check out from the resort to begin a half-day tour of Coorg. Visit Abbey Falls, surrounded by spice and coffee plantations, where a hanging bridge offers a stunning view. Next, explore Madikeri Fort, an architectural gem housing a museum and a temple (closed on Mondays). Visit the historic Sri Omkareshwar Temple, which blends Gothic and Islamic styles. Finally, stop at Raja’s Seat, a garden viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of Coorg’s hills and valleys. Later in the day, drive to Ooty, a 5–6 hour journey through winding hill roads. Upon arrival, check in to Sterling Ooty Fern Hill, where you’ll stay in a Classic Room. Overnight stay in Ooty.

Day 5: Full-Day Tour of Ooty & Coonoor

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Ooty and Coonoor, the twin jewels of the Nilgiri Hills. Begin with Sim’s Park in Coonoor, home to over 1,000 plant species. Then visit Lamb’s Rock, a serene viewpoint on the way to Dolphin’s Nose, which provides breathtaking views of Catherine Falls and the surrounding mountains. In Ooty, stroll through the Botanical Garden, famous for its fossilized tree estimated to be 20 million years old. Explore the Rose Garden, India’s largest, featuring over 20,000 varieties including black and green roses. End the day at Ooty Lake, where you can enjoy boating, cycling, or shopping for chocolates, shawls, and oils (activities on direct payment). Return to your hotel in the evening. Day 6: Ooty to Kodaikanal via Scenic Drive

Post breakfast, check out from your hotel and embark on a 6-hour drive to Kodaikanal, a serene and scenic hill station known for its mist-covered mountains, peaceful lakes, and lush greenery. On arrival, begin your exploration with a visit to the iconic Kodai Lake, a man-made star-shaped lake surrounded by the Palani Hills. Enjoy optional activities like boating, cycling, and horse riding (direct payment basis). Later, check in to Sterling Kodai Valley, unwind, and enjoy the cool mountain air. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.

Day 7: Full-Day Kodaikanal Sightseeing

Today is dedicated to exploring the best of Kodaikanal. After breakfast, head to Pillar Rocks, a trio of massive rock pillars offering panoramic views. Nearby lies the mysterious Guna Caves (Devil’s Kitchen), known for their unique rock formations and rich biodiversity. Visit Moir Point, a tranquil viewpoint ideal for photography. Stop by the refreshing Fairy Falls, a gentle cascade surrounded by forest. Walk along Coaker’s Walk, a beautiful path offering expansive valley views. In the afternoon, visit the Shenbaganur Museum (closed on Thursdays), featuring tribal artifacts and a large collection of orchids and preserved wildlife. Wrap up with a visit to Kurinji Andavar Temple, dedicated to Lord Murugan and known for the rare Kurinji flowers that bloom once every 12 years. Shop in the evening for herbal oils, chocolates, and local organic products. Return to your hotel. Overnight stay in Kodaikanal.

Day 8: Departure from Kodaikanal to Bangalore

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin the long but scenic drive back to Bangalore (approx. 8–9 hours / 480 km). Arrive at the airport or railway station in time for your onward journey, taking with you the unforgettable memories of your South Indian hill station tour.

  • Standard vehicle usage is permitted between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, covering sightseeing and travel as per the itinerary.
  • For outings beyond 7:00 PM, additional vehicle charges will apply or alternative transportation must be arranged at your own cost.
  • Most hotels in Munnar provide only non-AC rooms. Kindly reconfirm your room category if you require an AC room.
  • In the event of road closures, alternate routes may need to be taken to reach your destination. Any additional charges for such detours will be payable directly.
  • Entry tickets to the Periyar Wildlife Reserve are not included and must be pre-booked before travel.
  • Similarly, most hotels in Thekkady offer only non-AC rooms. Please verify your room type if air conditioning is desired.
  • Upon hotel check-in, an advance/security deposit may be required (as per hotel policy). This is refundable at check-out, minus any applicable charges for mini-bar items, late check-out, or damages to the room.
