This 6-day South India itinerary covers Bangalore, Mysore, Coorg, and Ooty. Start with a half-day tour of Bangalore’s top landmarks like Bangalore Palace, Vidhana Soudha, Bull Temple, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace. Head to Mysore for a visit to Chamundi Hills and the iconic Mysore Palace. En route to Coorg, explore the Golden Temple and Nisargadhama. In Coorg, enjoy a safari at Nagarhole National Park and visit Iruppu Falls, Abbey Falls, and Raja’s Seat. Continue to Ooty, exploring Sim’s Park, Lamb’s Rock, Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, and Ooty Lake. End the trip with a scenic drive back to Bangalore.

Itinerary Day Wise
Day 1: Arrival in Bangalore – Half-Day Sightseeing – Transfer to Mysore

Upon arriving in Bangalore in the morning (preferably before 10 AM), you’ll be welcomed by your representative and start your journey with a half-day sightseeing tour of the city. Begin with the Bangalore Palace, a grand 19th-century structure with Tudor-style architecture, lush gardens, and intricately carved interiors. Next, head to the Vidhana Soudha, a landmark of Bangalore known for its majestic neo-Dravidian design, followed by a visit to the Bull Temple, one of the largest temples dedicated to Nandi the bull. Also on the agenda is Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, a graceful structure that once served as a summer retreat for the Mysorean ruler. With its Indo-Islamic architecture and floral motifs, it offers a peek into the regal lifestyle of Tipu Sultan. Post sightseeing, continue your journey to Mysore, known as the “City of Palaces.” The drive takes about 3.5 hours. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and unwind for the evening. Overnight stay in Mysore.

Day 2: Mysore Sightseeing – Transfer to Coorg via Golden Temple & Nisargadhama

After breakfast and checkout, head to Chamundi Hills, where the Chamundeshwari Temple sits at an elevation of 3,500 feet, offering sweeping views of Mysore city. Next, explore the grand Mysore Palace, with its intricate domes, marble staircases, and regal legacy that reflects the opulence of the Wadiyar dynasty. Post sightseeing, begin your transfer to Coorg. En route, visit the Namdroling Monastery, also known as the Golden Temple—a serene and spiritually uplifting center of Tibetan Buddhism. Also stop by Nisargadhama, a lush forest resort on an island formed by the Kaveri River, known for bamboo groves, deer parks, and hanging bridges. Arrive in Coorg by evening, check into your hotel, and enjoy a relaxing overnight stay amid the hills.

Day 3: Nagarhole National Park Safari & Iruppu Falls Excursion

Rise early for an optional safari at Nagarhole National Park (advance online booking recommended). One of South India’s premier wildlife reserves, Nagarhole is home to majestic tigers, elephants, deer, and countless bird species. With mist-laden forests and the calls of the wild, the safari is a must-do for nature lovers and wildlife photographers. Later, visit Iruppu Falls, a picturesque cascade tucked into the Brahmagiri Hills. Also called Lakshmana Tirtha Falls, it’s a serene escape surrounded by greenery—a perfect spot for nature walks and peaceful reflection. Return to your hotel in Coorg for overnight stay.

Day 4: Coorg Half-Day Tour – Transfer to Ooty

After breakfast and checkout, set off for a half-day sightseeing tour of Coorg. Visit the stunning Abbey Falls, nestled in coffee plantations with a hanging bridge offering breathtaking views. Next, stop by Madikeri Fort (closed on Mondays), a historic landmark featuring colonial architecture and housing a temple and museum. Visit the Omkareshwar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva and notable for its mix of Gothic and Islamic architectural styles. Lastly, enjoy panoramic views from Raja’s Seat, a beautiful garden once favoured by the kings of Coorg. In the afternoon, drive to Ooty, the queen of hill stations (approx. 5–6 hours). On arrival, check into your hotel and relax for the night.

Day 5: Full-Day Tour of Ooty & Coonoor

After breakfast, embark on a full-day exploration of Ooty and Coonoor, nestled in the Nilgiri Hills. Begin with Sim’s Park in Coonoor, home to over a thousand species of trees and flowers. Proceed to Lamb’s Rock and Dolphin’s Nose, offering panoramic views of the valleys and Catherine Falls. Back in Ooty, visit the Botanical Garden, famous for its prehistoric fossil tree and wide array of flora, and the Rose Garden, India’s largest, with rare varieties including green and black roses. Conclude your day at Ooty Lake, a scenic artificial lake surrounded by eucalyptus groves. Enjoy boating, cycling, or shopping for local chocolates and aromatic oils. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 6: Departure from Ooty to Bangalore

After breakfast, check out and begin the drive to Bangalore Airport or Railway Station (approx. 350 km / 8 hours). As your journey ends, take with you beautiful memories of lush landscapes, regal architecture, spiritual spots, and tranquil hill stations.

  • The vehicle provided will be as per the confirmed booking. Any request for an additional or upgraded vehicle due to excess or oversized luggage will incur extra charges.
  • The vehicle service is available until 8:00 PM as per the itinerary. Usage beyond this time will attract applicable night charges, payable directly on the spot.
  • Standard vehicle usage is permitted between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, covering sightseeing and travel as per the itinerary.
  • For outings beyond 7:00 PM, additional vehicle charges will apply or alternative transportation must be arranged at your own cost.
  • Most hotels in Munnar provide only non-AC rooms. Kindly reconfirm your room category if you require an AC room.
  • In the event of road closures, alternate routes may need to be taken to reach your destination. Any additional charges for such detours will be payable directly.
  • Entry tickets to the Periyar Wildlife Reserve are not included and must be pre-booked before travel.
  • Similarly, most hotels in Thekkady offer only non-AC rooms. Please verify your room type if air conditioning is desired.
  • Upon hotel check-in, an advance/security deposit may be required (as per hotel policy). This is refundable at check-out, minus any applicable charges for mini-bar items, late check-out, or damages to the room.
  • Tickets to attractions, museums, trains, cable cars, ferries, rides, safaris, etc., are not included unless explicitly specified.
